Our ideal PHP developer is energetic, professional, confident, self-motivated, detail-oriented, passionate, analytical, aware, self-disciplined and sees projects through to their completion on time with the highest quality. This developer will be responsible for leading the development of custom enterprise websites and email campaigns, making progressive enhancements to current websites, and assisting team members with web related issues while keeping up with the latest development trends and adapt these trends into web and mobile functionality while keeping projects on track with production deadlines.


  • Lead custom-coding of interactive, mobile-responsive development projects; lead high-priority projects to refine and enhance customer experience, use underscore or related starter themes to implement efficient cross-device design and own provision of ‘best in class’ deliverables
  • Cross-develop on time-sensitive, high profile projects and deliver effort beyond the norm; be a positive leader in a multi-developer team to divide and conquer to ensure quality is met within required deadlines
  • Assist leadership in setting development functionality vision, gathering specifications, and outlining technical requirements for client development initiatives including full website builds, intranet portals, web-based applications, mobile applications, etc.
  • Complete development projects above standards and on time, troubleshoot technical issues, proactively suggest development process and/or coding improvements, and create/maintain supporting software documentation
  • Participate in the brainstorming of user experience (UI/UX) and web and mobile development solutions; collaborate with designs to match visual design intent to development
  • Push innovation by continually evolving interactive methodologies that go beyond the norm for web & mobile development; research and apply digital development trends and functionality solutions within WordPress / PHP, web apps, apps, games, VR, and beyond
  • Provide leadership in improving development capabilities and applying best practices and standards across the Experience Center of Excellence


  • 3+ years’ experience with and advanced knowledge of PHP
  • 3+ years’ experience working with HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript
  • 3+ years’ experience developing fully customized WordPress themes
  • 4+ years’ experience building websites using responsive design techniques
  • Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js, Node.js, Angular.js
  • Experience using GIT within a team environment
  • Solid ability to navigate through directories using command line
  • Proficiency exporting assets for web using the Adobe Suite, Sketch or Adobe XD
  • Functional knowledge of SASS / SCSS
  • Proficiency in Mac OS X, Gmail, Google Docs
  • Experience with Gulp / Webpack or other similar task runners
  • A bachelor’s degree in a computer science specialization (such as Web Design & Development, Computer Science, Software Engineering, New Media Production)
  • Strong understanding of UI, cross-browser & mobile compatibility, and web & application functions/standards
