Responsible for providing oversight for all areas within the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions stack, including Curriculum Management, Program Management, Section Management, and Schedule Management. Evaluates client’s needs and requests, gathers the necessary data points from the client’s Student Information System (SIS), and integrates application programming interface (API). Additionally, resolves operational API issues, troubleshoots integration issues, researches and supports customizations and interfaces between new and existing systems—both internal and external to clients. Thoroughly examine the client’s data, write plugins to transform the data for ingestion by API, and build packages to integrate the data between PeopleSoft Integration Broker, the SIS. A code sample will be required from candidates for analysis as part of the interview process.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must have in-depth knowledge of the PeopleSoft architectural environment:
    • Campus Solutions data, tables, and fields
    • Integration Broker, REST and SOAP
    • PeopleSoft Tools: Application Designer, Application Engine, and Application Packages
    • Debugging and tracing sessions
  • Ability to read, write, explain and contrast the following:
    • Java
    • Python
    • JSON
    • Database queries
  • Write plugins to transform data between the client’s environment and API
  • Differentiate between PS and custom data dictionary elements to build the API
  • Create an adaptable/common PS data structure and incorporate data hygiene
  • Partner with the team Product Owner to advocate for codebase improvements and reducing technical debt
  • Partner with cross functional teams to drive integration success for the client
  • Act as communication point person for issue status, causes and resolutions with affected departments
  • Communicate problems and solutions directly and effectively to Manager
  • Handle all aspects of supporting APIs (e.g. client issues, performance, data integrity, integration with related applications)
  • Handle issue triage independently
  • Become the primary conduit for communications with Engineering, Sales, and Tier 2 Client Care team and assist in their issue resolution
  • Communicate solution measures with affected departments (e.g. Engineering, Sales, Support, Systems, other products, etc.)

  • Ability to share knowledge, coach, and train other team members who specialize in non-PS SISs
  • Experience in the Higher Education domain


Education and Experience:

  • S. in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of business analysis and technical support experience of the PeopleSoft Campus Community module
  • 4+ years with enterprise software development, maintenance and process
  • 4+ years of experience debugging and problem solving with large, complex web-based applications
  • 4+ years of professional presentation and client care experience
  • Exposure to Agile process, especially Scrum and Kanban
  • Exposure to testing frameworks and unit testing
