Experience Required:

  • Critical thinker with a deep understanding of networking
  • A minimum of 5 years or more years of network administration experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with Juniper Enterprise devices & open standards routing and switching
  • Considerable networking knowledge of the following; TCP & OSI Models - Layers 1, 2, 3 & 4 specifically; Cabling for users and Data Centers; Deployment of Scheduled Maintenance Procedures; Documentation and industry terms commonly used; Network Management System and monitoring tools
  • Familiar with the following concepts; Current WAN technologies; MPLS; Point-to-Point Ethernet and Metro-Ethernet; DWDM Networking Technologies is a Plus
  • Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills on hardware and software
  • Ensure complete and timely follow-through with assigned tasks
  • Experienced with the issue resolution using a ticketing system and email alarms
  • Regular tasks involving documentation and deployment process of a growing and changing network infrastructure
  • Industry best practices in terms of network availability planning, security, scalability, and change management
  • Supporting Home office and Branch office staff/sites on all network-based tickets and troubleshooting
  • Windows PC & Server based environment knowledge – Linux knowledge is a plus
  • 24 x 7 (oncall) availability to respond to planned or unplanned business critical events

Desired Skills:

  • Industry standard network certifications such as Network +, JNCIA, CCNA are a plus
  • Aruba wireless experience is a plus
  • Avaya VoIP phone system experienced with H.323 & SIP technologies
  • APC UPS systems power management, monitoring and deployment
  • ExtraHop & LogRhythm analytics experience is a plus
  • Citrix based connection experience is a plus
  • Familiar with Virtual Machine environments like ESXi & ZenServer
  • Device RMA and coordination of vendor troubleshooting and resources
  • Strong tech skills/background to develop solutions and communicate with IT and C-level staff
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts in non-technical terms and business value
  • Requirements analysis, problem solving and reporting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
